Preparation

One does not simply take ayahuasca. Ayahuasca is a powerful and sacred sacrament; one we must approach with respect and with proper preparation. This process includes purifying your body and mind before and after ceremony. We cannot stress how important this is! Ayahuasca can be beautiful and euphoric. It can also be punitive if you do not approach it with the proper respect. This might sound crazy to the inexperienced, but ayahuasca knows how you’ve prepared or if you haven’t, and it can reward you or not based on your preparation.

Your preparation begins by safely (and with your doctor’s guidance—we do not give medical advice) weaning yourself from any medicines that might interact with the sacrament. You then begin your dieta, or your preparatory diet. To get the most from your ceremony, you’ll begin the dieta two full weeks before ceremony. At absolute minimum, you’ll begin one week before ceremony. Again, we cannot overemphasize how important this is!

What do I do after ceremony?

  • Ayahuasca will continue to influence you and to speak to you in the days and weeks after ceremony, so it is imperative that you continue to follow the dieta for a minimum of one week after ceremony, but two weeks are preferable. For many of you, this is the only time you’ll consume the sacrament of ayahuasca. To get the most from it, please continue to follow the dieta

  • You are invited to attend integration ceremonies facilitated by Stacy Stoddard
